Jeerem Meerem Powder
I was brought up by pai and mai who loved cooking. Mum cooks awesomely well. My dad learnt to cook fairly late … I think he was 65 then. Cooking, it might seem is in the genes but then one has to get down to it to make the genes work. I have some staples in my kitchen. Jeerem Meerem powder is one of them. It is a versatile mixture and can be used for just about anything: fish, meats, even vegetables. It is one of my must have magic powders.

Collect It: 1 1/2 tbsp pepper powder 2 tbsp cumin powder 1 tbsp turmeric powder 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder 1/4 tsp clove powder 1/2 tsp red chilli powder (not Kashmiri chillies)
Make it:
Mix all the powders together Pass it through the sieve thrice Store in glass containers
