Walnut butter cake
If you love walnuts, you will love this amazing walnut butter cake recipe. So delicious!
110 gms all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
125 gms salted butter, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
80 gms fine sugar
2 large eggs
2 tbsp milk
60 gms walnuts, processed in a food processor until fine
30 gms whole walnuts, for topping
Preheat the oven to 180 deg Celsius.
Line an 8 inch pan with butter paper and set aside.
Sift the flour and baking powder, set aside.
In a bowl, cream butter, vanilla extract and sugar till fluffy and pale. Add in the eggs one at a time, cream well until well combined before adding another one.
Fold the flour, ground walnut and milk, and mix to combine well. Transfer the batter into the greased pan, shake gently to level off the batter. Sprinkle the whole walnuts on top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a cake tester inserted into the walnut butter cake comes out clean.
Remove from the oven, let cool on wire rack. Loosen the cake from the loaf pans and slice into pieces.
