These biscuits bring back warm memories of my childhood. I distinctly remember our Pai (my maternal grandfather) bringing these for me. A very simple recipe but you need to watch these babies as they bake.
· 100 gms butter
· 100 gms sugar
· 100 gms flour
· A pinch of salt
· 2 large eggs
· 1 tbsp of port wine
BEAT the butter and sugar together until creamy. ADD the eggs and beat until creamy. MIX the salt in flour.
ADD the flour a little by little and beat in. ADD wine and beat well.
PUT the mixture in a piping bag and pipe drops on a tray lined with parchment paper.
PREHEAT the oven. Bake at 180 degrees until the edges turn brown about 10 to 15 minutes.
The biscuits harden to crispness as they cool.
